Chili Lime Grilled Tofu

Simple, flavorful, and quick this Chili Lime Grilled Tofu recipe is truly no-fuss. It's a perfect low-effort meal that doesn't compromise on taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu pressed
  • 3-4 red chilis
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • zest of 1 lime
  • juice of 1 lime
  • c brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • In a food processor or with a mortar and pestle combine the chili, garlic, lime zest and juice, brown sugar, and salt until the chilis and garlic are minced and a thin paste is formed.
  • Cut the pressed tofu into 4 slabs then generously coat the tofu with the chili paste.
  • Place the tofu on a hot grill or cast iron griddle and cook until the tofu releases easily, about 5 min. Flip the tofu and cook again another 3-5 minutes.
  • Once cooked remove from the grill, serve over rice or with grilled veggies, and enjoy!
